CFL – How long have you practiced yoga?J- I’ve been practicing yoga for years now but I only really began to understand the true meaning and deepen my practice last year in 2020 when I graduated my 200hr yoga teacher training
CFL – When did you start doing naked yoga?
J- Around 4 years ago. It started during a very dark time in my life and to be honest, I didn’t even know I was doing yoga! I got naked to symbolize shedding the things I no longer needed and just began to move my body in what ever way felt good and turns out it was called yoga!

CFL – What benefits do you get from doing yoga naked?
J- Where do I get started? There are so many benefits.. haha! The biggest benefit I have experienced is body positivity. I didn’t realize I ever had body issues UNTIL I started practicing yoga naked. I know that sounds strange. But for example, I had always hated my breasts. Because I hated them, I would cover them up and not have to worry. But doing naked yoga, exposing myself to myself, it made my realize my body is my own and that is a beautiful thing!
CFL – Do you have any tips for aspiring naked yogis?
J- Start small… there is no need to gung-ho straight into an in-person naked yoga class. Roll your mat out in your living room and put on a YouTube video, and take baby steps!
CFL – Do think naked yoga connects with naturism? How?

J- Absolutely!! When we think about naturism, we think about being naked in nature, being outdoors or perhaps skinny dipping. But really naturism is simply a practice of going without clothes in a non-sexual environment. Naturism helps you connect and rediscover yourself, just as naked yoga does.
CFL – When did you start teaching yoga? What do you hope to accomplish by teaching?
J- I only graduated as a yoga teacher in late 2020 but throughout my course I knew full well I was studying to be able to teach yoga naked. …not that I told my class mates that.
By teaching I hope to help people reconnect with parts of themselves they may have lost over time. Parts of themselves they may have put away to conform to social norms and to remind them their body is BEAUTIFUL!
